The ISIE-ISSST 2017 conference will be held at the Forum located at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Suggested accommodation at the UIC dorms and area hotels are a short distance from the Forum. The Forum and the accommodation locations are easily accessible by public transportation and taxi.

Out-of-town participants will arrive in Chicago by air or by rail or bus.

Chicago is served by two international airports, O’Hare and Midway. All major airlines serve the city. In addition the city is a major Amtrak hub, with train routes across the United States connecting to Canada and Mexico. Several bus lines also serve the city, including Metrobus.

Cab fares to the conference venue range as follows:

  • • From O-Hare airport $30 - $40.

  • • From Midway airport $20-$30

  • • From Union station (Amtrak) $10 - $15.

  • • From Greyhound or Metrobus $10 - $15


You can also use the Chicago Transit Authority public buses and the L train to get to your destination.

  • • L train (Blue Line) from O-Hare: $5

  • • L Train (Orange Line) from Midway: $2.50
